The Greene County eighth grade volleyball team opened its season at Southeast Valley on Tuesday, Sept. 6. The Rams are specializing their offense and did a good job for their first match. The Rams won one game and lost five with all of the games being very competitive.
Game scores were 16-21, 21-23, 21-7, 11-21, 18-21, 17-21.
The Rams have 16 girls on the team and as a team, they served 85 for 110 for 77 percent with 33 aces. Top servers were Victoria Peterson 6/6 for 100 percent with 1 ace; Brooke Diekmann 29/30 for 97 percent with 14 aces; Emma McColley 12/13 for 92 percent with 5 aces; Paige Egeland 6/7 for 86 percent with 1 ace; and Eliza Carlson 7/9 for 78 percent with 3 aces.
Team serving totals: 85/111 for 77 percent with 33 aces.
